US stocks remain high despite draw

The US saw a fourth consecutive weekly draw on inventories in the week ending 23 December, leaving stocks at 61.36mn bl, down by 10.17mn bl from the beginning of December.But US inventories were still at their highest level for the third week of December since 2001, according to the latest data from the US Energy Information Administration(EIA). Nationwide propane inventories were 8.2pc higher than in the same week of 2004. Propane supplies continued to be buoyed in part by strong imports and a modest rise in production.
