Pd-Cu/APT catalysts were prepared by an impregnation method (PC-IM) and an evaporation ammonia method (PC-AE), respectively. Their catalytic activities for low-temperature CO oxidation were studied. It is found that PC-AE shows much higher catalytic activity. Characterizations results suggest that Cu species exist as the Cu-2(OH)(3)Cl phase with nanoplatelet morphology in PC-AE. In addition, PC-AE possesses high specific surface area and enhanced reducibility, which may contribute to the excellent catalytic ability.
