Chevron Nigeria project on hold

Work at Chevron's 1.3bn Escravos gas-to-liquids(EGTL)project and the third phase of the Escravos Gas Project(EGP-3)in Nigeria's Delta state has been put on hold following agitation in the local community.This has raised concerns about Chevron's ability to start up as planned in late 2007 or early 2008.
