A military crackdown by the regime of Muammar Gaddafi in Libya has turned protest against his regime into an armed rebellion that is threatening to drag the country into civil war. The LPG industry finds itself, as often happens with global political shocks, on the wrong side of the political turmoil. International LPG prices look as if they will buck the normal spring trend and push sharply higher. They have little choice, given the surge in crude prices.
