Afrox takes LPG from Petredec

South African producer and retailer Afrox has signed an import deal with trading company Petredec and domestic terminal operator Bidvest Tank Terminals — which owns an import facility leased by Afrox at Richards Bay — to supply and store LPG. “We now have the flexibility to import large quantities of LPG at short notice, when faced with short-term unplanned local supply shortages,” Afrox managing director Schalk Venter says. “This means that we will have the ability to support our LPG growth plans in South Africa and other emerging African economies,” Venter says.
