The FPSO market did not see any contract awards in November, keeping this year's award tally at 13. Of the five potential FPSO contracts remaining this year, two will likely reach award status by the end of December with the rest spilling into 2012. Inpex, for instance, has already conceded that the final investment decision on its Ichthys development may slip into 2012. The project's FPSO contract has remained outstanding for some time. Meanwhile, Petrochina and BLT continue contract negotiations over a 550-day FPSO lease for the Teluk Berau project. Lastly, Pertamina still expects to award a lease contract for the Langsa FPSO by the end of the year, which could replace the Langsa Venture FPS once its contract ends in December.
