Extranodal natural killer (NK)/T-cell lymphoma, nasal type (ENKTL) is a definite disease entity characterized by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) association, characteristic involved sites, and an aggressive clinical course. The nasal cavity and upper aero-digestive tract are typically involved, but ENKTL also involves other extranodal sites including the skin, gastrointestinal tract, soft tissues, and testis. Because of its aggressiveness, prompt initiation of intensive therapy is required, and erroneous diagnosis may lead to insufficient or unnecessary treatment.
