Propagating Cacti and Succulents From Seed

This article details the process that I go through for inhouse propagation of cacti and other succulents using artificial lighting. Using this process I have successfully germinated seeds of Saguaro, Lophophora, Notocactus, Melocactus,Trichocereus, various Pachypodiums, Euphorbia capsaintemariensis, and various species of Ariocarpus. I am sure that some species might require special adjustments but for most, the following has proven quite successful. The most important things to understand are thatseed fertility, moisture, temperature, soil mix, and light all affect seed germination.
