The gas pipeline operation supporting system is integrated based on latest dynamic simulation technology of one-dimensional gas flow. In Yufutsu-Sapporo natural gas pipeline project which was engineered and constructed for JAPEX (Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd.) by NKK, the system was provided as a part of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system. At the stage of adjusting the system in above project, NKK experimented with leak detecting function. At the result of the experiment, NKK was convinced effectiveness that the system is applied to real facilities.
