How do you stop a boat flying? Or, if it chooses to leave the wet stuff and emulate a low flying aircraft - which racing boats are very likely to do because of the speed they are travelling and the aerodynamic shape of the craft -how do you ensure that it returns at the earliest possible opportunity in a sufficiently organised manner to continue it's journey? In short, how do you simulate the interaction between the various forces that it will be subject to during its brief transformation - the interaction, for instance, between airflow and structural deformation?
