Endless Rolling System for Bars and Rods

摘要

NKK supplied the Endless Rolling System for barsand wire rods at Tokyo Steel Manufacturing Co., Ltd. TakamatsuWorks and achieved commercial operation from in March 1998 asthe world's first and only Endless Rolling System for longproducts. This system enables the welding of billets that comedirectly from the continuous caster at the upstream side of rollingmill train and realize the Endless Rolling Operation for theproduction of bars and wire rods. This report shows this latestfacility and and subsequent development of t he technology.
