摘要

Computer-aided engineering technology was applied to research in the field of bridge aerodynamics. First, computational fluid dynamics based on a newly-developed, modified k-#epsilon# model was applied to predict the aerodynamic characteristics of a square cylinder. A flow-visualization system that can be adapted to vibrating models was then developed and applied to consider the mechanism of turbulence on wind-induced vibration of bridge girders and pylons. The highly advanced technology introduced in this paper was found to be quite powerful for estimating bridge aerodynamics.
