Unbridled discipline:thoughts on making a great succulent garden

Iwould say make your succulent garden great again, but if your garden was already, and couldn't possibly get any greater, then you don't need me. Seriously though, picture for a moment the stereotypical desert garden, complete with randomly abandonedwagon wheels and sun-bleached cow craniums. The Disneyland props are almost as forlorn as the plants themselves, which "thrive off of neglect" and only receive supplemental irrigation when it rains in Phoenix. The lonely "cactuses", one of each variety,are spaced far enough apart to allow the smooth passage of tumbleweeds. So vast is the empty space, that atop the broom finished sand you could slip two covered wagons and a 20-mule team in between, no glochids in the spleen. Heck, just picturing the scene makes me grab the canteen!! Do you know what I mean?
