Progress of Emission Control System in Electric Arc Furnace Melt-shops

摘要

In order to improve the environment control around the mill-sites, recent electric arc furnace steel-making workshops are generally closed almost fully to hold and contain gas, dusts and other emissions inside the workshop-buildings. This measure, however, leads to the deterioration of the working atmospheres for the operators in turn and even with the installation of large-capacity dust collectors, sufficient results are not necessarily obtained. There are also problems in the direct evacuation systems, because ducts of the systems are often damaged by the high-calorie exhaust gas and the corrosive components in the gas. In this article, NKK technologies to cope well with these problems are examined.
