Development of a new screw steel pipe pile with toe wing (tsubasa pile)

NKK has developed a new pile foundation that screws the pile into the ground utilizing the wing at the toe. The wing is composed of two semicircular flat plate attached at the pile toe. The construction is carried out without soil removal from the ground, and with small noise and vibration. The construction method has excellent cost performance, because of the large toe bearing capacity obtained by the wing.
