Prediction Model of Coating Weight for Squeeze Rolls with V-shaped Grooves

In order to predict coating weight on strip in squeeze roll coating processes, deformation analyses for a rubber-covered roll and a diminutive V-shaped groove carved on the roll are performed, and the influence of line speed on coating weight and the model for the liquid amount transferred to strip are also discussed. The experiment is conducted to verify the accuracy of our prediction model. The experimental results have good agreement with the analytical results, and our prediction model is confirmed to be reasonable.
