CONSTRUCTION OF BUFFER SYSTEM OF AKASHI KAIKYO BRIDGE FOR SHIP COLLISION

摘要

The foundations of tower piers of Akashi Kaikyo Bridge locate inthe strait where ship collision can be possible. To mitigate impactand damage on ships themselves, a buffer system was installed aroundthe circumference of it. This paper introduces the outline offabrication and installation of steel multi-cell structure ,andcorrosion protection work by using drying up device.
