NKK, in cooperation with other Japanese ship builders (KHI, SHI,HZ, MES), has developed a new type of contra-rotating propellers(CRP) system which has been recognized as one of the most effectiveenergy- saving devices. This paper describes the outline of the newCRP system and "AHT Bearing".
