A series of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(lH)ones have been synthesized using poly(4-vinylpyridine-co-divinylbenzene)-Cu(II)com-plex as catalyst in a one pot condensation of aldehydes,beta-ketoesters and urea.The activity,recovery and reusability of the catalyst are found to be good.
