Privately-owned Ocean Nutrition Canada (ONC) has spent a decade - and tens of million of dollars - putting in place the building blocks of its strategy. The company sources fish oils from Peru and Chile, refines them in state-of-the-art GMP facilitiesin Canada and the US, and takes them to market in an application that is robust enough for most applications. All this is supported by a marketing effort that its competitors acknowledge is the best in the business. It's hardly surprising that ONC's market share is estimated at more than 40%. And it's difficult to see how anyone can catch-up with them anytime soon.
