In this paper we report on experimental evidence of laser light confinement between ferroelectric domains in the neodymium doped Ba{sub}2NaNb{sub}5O{sub}15 ferroelectric crystal. High contrast near field optical microscopy images have been obtained as a consequence of the periodic modulation in the refractive index caused by the presence of 2D antiparallel ferroelectric domains.
