Spatiotemporal chaotic behavior of time-delayed nonlinear optical systems

摘要

We present the results of numerical simulation of a nonlinear optical system with a time-delayed feedback which exhibits spatiotemporal chaotic states. The studies of statistical properties of these chaotic regimes were carried out both in instantaneous response approximation and by taking into account relaxation in the system. We found that power spectrum of phase fluctuations in chaotic states monotonically decreases as a function of spatial frequency. This causes us to anticipate that such class of optical systems can be used for an artificial optical turbulence simulation. [References: 23]
