摘要

Fuel efficiency of automobiles is a demand in the automobile market these days in aspects of environmental protection and resources conservation. Improvement of fuel efficiency includes mass reductions, friction loss reduction, combustion efficiency improvement and so on. Friction loss of Valve system makes up 30 to 40 percent of overall friction loss of engine. Therefore reduction of friction loss of valve system in very important for fuel efficiency. We will show the outline on friction reduction technology of OTICS in figure 1. OTICS has sought to mass reduction of valve lifter which makes up 30 percent of mass in valve system and thin skirt portion further. In this summary we will introduce the summary of development on Shim-less Valve Lifter of Thin & Bent Style adopted by EJ20, 4 Cylinder, Horizontal Opposed Engine, SUBARU.
