摘要

Correlation and path analysis was carried out using forty nine genotypes of blackgram for ten component characters including seed yield. Seed yield was positively and significantly associated with pods per plant, dusters per plant, branches per plant,pod length, seeds per pod, hundred seed weight plant height and days to first flower. Path co-efficient analysis revealed that pods per plant, pod length and plant height had positive and direct effect on yield. The characters viz., days to first flower, plant height, branches per plant, clusters per plant, pods per plant, seeds per pod and hundred seed weight showed positive indirect effect on yield via most of characters.
