PATH COEFFICIENT ANALYSIS OF SEED YIELD COMPONENTS IN LENTIL (LENS CULINARIS MEDK.)

摘要

Path-coefficient analysis of seed yield and its attributes in lentil (Lens culinaris Medik.) from the data on 44 genotypes representing wide agroclimatic regions of India revealed that in selection programmes, maximum weigntage should be given to harvest index, biological yield and days to 50% flowering since their direct influence on seed yield was maximum, while their indirect influence via most of the other component characters was negligible.
