Screening of French bean germplasm under field and glass house conditions against bean common mosaic virus.

A total of 44 Phaseolus vulgaris genotypes collected from various sources were screened against bean common mosaic potyvirus (BCMV) under field and greenhouse conditions. Of these, only 2 were highly resistant (EC94469 and EC94929) and 4 were resistant under both conditions. Eight genotypes were resistant under field conditions only. The remaining 30 lines were moderately to highly susceptible under one or both conditions.
