This article discusses the use of radiography in the diagnosis of digestive tract abnormalities and disorders in dogs and cats. The radiographic features of the normal oesophagus, stomach, small intestine and large intestine are compared to those that have abnormalities or affected with diseases (megaoesophagus, oesophageal stricture/stenosis, hernia, neoplasms, gastric ulcer, foreign bodies, dilation-torsion, gastritis, pyloric stenosis, enteritis, peritonitis, intussusception, intestinal volvulus and colitis).
