A picture tells a thousand words

The prognosis for the global economy has soured since the last quarter. Winding back the clock to only three months ago the narrative was quite different to today. Italian bond yields had returned to reasonable levels, the US economy was going from strength to strength and commodity prices were recovering from the losses of late 2011. The IMF was even hinting at upward revisions to growth forecasts.
