The extension of the second biggest zinc mine, Century, becomes increasingly unlikely. Though China Minmetals Resources who owns and operates the mine is conducting grand-scale exploration activities at the mine site, none of the efforts have been crowned with success. Following the mine schedule, Century will close in mid 2015 after having been in operation for 25 years.
