Production has resumed at mines in the Potosi region of Bolivia following two weeks of protests by local Indians. Local protestors were demanding the government carry out development projects in the country's mineral rich Potosi region, causing operations to stop at number of incluing Sumitomo’s San Cristobal mine, Glencore’s Sinchi Wayra (Porco) mine as well as Coeur D'Alene's San Bartoleme mine, the world's largest pure silver producer.
