Whilst AME remains upbeat on the overall prospects for the materials sector, current debt availability conditions cannot be taken for granted. AME is confident that the current problems in Europe can be resolved, however this is not without substantial cost to all European taxpayers and not just those domiciled in the most stretched jurisdictions. We consider the likelihood of a default (or seriously near default) by a Euro-zone country relatively remote.
