A servo controller from Metronix (Braunschweig, Germany) includes integrated cam disk functions (CAM) for the company's series ARS 2000 servo positioning controller, allowing master drives to set the master position for a servo controller via a bus or encoder interface. On the basis of loaded cam disk data, the controller determines its reference position and moves to the programmed position in real time. In total, 2048 sampling points are available, which can be assigned to a maximum of 16 cam disks.
