Major Tool & Machine (MTM: Indianapolis, IN) is a large job shop, producing precision milled and turned hardware throughout the company's 500,000 ft~2 (46,451 m~2) Indiana facility for mission critical, one-off projects for leading aerospace, energy, nuclear, and defense companies. According to owner and CEO Steve Weyreter, MTM started with an aggressive retrofit strategy. MTM retrofitted over a dozen of its giant milling and turning machines with a new Siemens CNC platform resulting in a dramatic CNC upgrade that has enhanced performance and precision.
