Robot vision guides assembly

Since its earliest days, robotics has promised much to manufacturers. Sometimes it delivered on the promise, more often it didn't. Vision-based robotics assembly systems, however, have now matured to the point where they can be used to automatehigh-speed assembly workcells. Improvements in robotic controllers, safety standards, and workcell simulation systems also enable robot manufacturers to help their customers get products to market faster.
