Building blocks of the machine of the future--that was the theme of EMO, the international machine tool show held in May. It attracted 152,000 visitors to the Parc des Expositions outside Paris, most from other countries. As they tramped the120,000 m{sup}2 of exhibits, they got their money's worth.There was lots of high tech, glitz, triipods and hexapods, huge machines milling huge parts, eye-popping speeds, and wine and pate in the booths for lucky customers.
