Sigma-Aldrich Corporation has completed its acquisition of biopharma testing services company BioReliance Holdings. BioReliance will become a new business unit within SAFC and will report directly to president Giles Cottier.'By 2014 it is expected that eight of the top 10 drugs will be biologies,' said Cottier. 'The alliance provides an opportunity to combine our CompoZr zinc finger nuclease technology with BioReliance's toxicology and animal health services operations for the development of new assays, cell lines and animal models for the research marketplace.'
