The Putrajaya Convention Centre is located in Precinct 5 of the Federal Administration Centre of Putrajaya, on top of 'Puncak Selatan'. Due for commission by the STAM Group later in 2003, it is a world-class convention centre, able to accommodate up to 2800 delegates. Designed by architect Hijjas Kasturi Associates, Putrajaya Convention Centre's architecture, which is distinctive yet contemporary, is inspired by cherished Malaysian icons such as the pending perak (silver royal belt buckle), which features a gently curved diamond shape, and the wau bulan (moon kite).
