Staff training & CPD: GEOFFREY WAKEHAM uses his career to consider some aspects of training and CPD

POST my apprenticeship, my expertise on this subject is some sixty years of limited structured in-house staff training; also a suspicion that a lot of CPD sessions have been a social evening out on a topic of marginal relevance to my needs. As this is Wakeham's World please indulge me if I use my career as a vehicle to look at some aspects of training and CPD.
