Uruguay LNG project attracts a dozen suitors

Uruguay’s Gas Sayago joint venture has attracted 12 firms interested in participating in a tender to develop an LNG terminal. State-owned oil firm Ancap and state-owned utility UTE are 50:50 part- ners in Gas Sayago, which plans to import the equivalent of 10mn m3/d of natural gas. The terminal will be built in Punta Sayago, 4km west of Montevideo.
