The Colombian government is planning to sell 1-2pc of state-controlled oil company Ecopetrol this year, with up to 10pc sold over a four-year period to fund public infrastructure projects, finance minister Juan Carlos Echeverry says. The government expects to raise as much as 1.6 trillion pesos ($800mn) by selling 2pc of the company. The sale would probably take place in the second half of this year, after an investment bank is hired.
