Colombia seeks share sale

The Colombian government will submita bill to congress on 20 July seekingauthorisation for the sale of up to 10pc ofstate-controlled Ecopetrol, according tofinance minister Juan Carlos Echeverry.Echeverry values the stake at around$8bn. The proceeds of the sale would beused for road construction, infrastructureprojects and rebuilding towns destroyedby torrential rains in 2010-11.
