Dominican Republic launches LNG terminal

Independent power producer AES Dominicana commissioned a 160,000m3 LNG terminal at the port of Caucedo on 2 February. The LNG will be used to generate power at two AES Dominicana plants - the 316MW Andres and 236MW Los Mina facilities - and for industrial plants and transportation, AES Dominicana president Marco de la Rosa says. The LNG is shipped to Caucedo by Trinidadian consortium Atlantic LNG.
