In the current entrepreneurial world,many scientists dream of being able to run their own company.However few achieve their dream.To try to find out what is needed to make a start-up company successful,we interviewed Ivars Jaunakais,founder and president of Industrial Test Systems,the makers of sensitive yet simple-to-use kits for water testing.From Ivars' comments presented below,it can be seen that the secret of success is dedication,hard work and innovation,not to mention perseverance especially when dealing with the all-important regulatory authorities.
