An optical-based system for particle size analysis

A knowledge of particle size is of crucial importance for many processes in the bulk goods industry.Compared to clas-sical sieve analysis,the digital image processing method described in this article improves both the quality and effi-ciency of particle analysis in the micron to millimetre range.
