Fed up with getting gum stuck to the bottom of your shoe? So were scientists in Bristol who have developed a new gum which can easily be removed from most surfaces and is water dispersible. The gum - Rev7 - retains the familiar minty taste and consistency associated with gum and has already gone on sale in the US. Terence Cosgrove and colleagues from the University of Bristol and spin-out company Revolymer first created a gum in 2007, but have been working on its formulation to turn it into a commercial product mat can rival the taste and consistency of stickier brands.
