Ex-BMJ editor calls for open access

摘要

Dr Richard Smith,former editor of the BMJ,is calling for a complete overhaul in biomedical publishing.Smith,two edited the BMJ for 13 years,is calling for current biomedical publishing methods to be re-addressed.He puts particular emphasis on greater access to research articles,and advocates open access publishing models,such as those employed at the Public Library of Science.
