Medicare Lab Fees to Rise 0.65 Percent in 2012

The payment rates for clinical laboratory tests on the Medicare Part B fee Ischedule will increase 0.65 percent as of Jan. 1, 2012, welcome news after a cut of 1.75 percent in 2011 and a 1.9 percent cut in 2010. The last increase in 2009 (4.5 percent) following an update freeze from 2004 to 2008.
