摘要

This article reviews the electrochemical methods used to form thin organic layers on conducting substrates,metals and semiconductors,and dielectric materials.The electrochemical generation of organic radicals explains that covalent grafting of the organic film is achieved on the surface.In each case,the reaction mechanism,the operating conditions,the resulting surface physico-chemical characterizations and potential applications are discussed.
