Neuroinfections: celebrating the past, discussing the present

Last month, experts on CNS infections met at a conference that was part of a series of events to celebrate the foundation of the Pasteur Institute, which first opened its doors on Nov 14,1888. Since its inception, the institute has provided an invaluable, independent forum for discussion and a resource hub for the investigation and treatment of neglected diseases, among which neuroinfections might still be the most in need of the "pasteurian spirit" for fighting disease.
