THE NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement supports the NHS to transform health care by rapidly developing and spreading new ways of working, new technology and world-class leadership.One of the current priorities for the institute is the Delivering Quality and Value (DQV) programme, the primary aim of which is to discover how the top-performing healdicare organisations in the NHS make the best use of resources.The programme team focused on 16 high-volume health resource groups, which are groups of clinically similar activities for which similar quantities of resources are required.
